DELIVERY

Can I ask that my goods are left in a safe place if I am not in when the courier calls?

Yes. Our delivery service requires a signature for the goods upon receipt, but it is usually possible to notify the couriers to leave the packages in a safe place, such as your garage or with a neighbour, online once the goods are on the way to you. Tracking details will be provided by us, and or our couriers, and directions provided on how to leave this request once the packages have been dispatched.

Can I arrange my goods to be delivered at a specific time?

No. Unfortunately, our couriers do not allow us to book time slots for deliveries, however you can track your delivery online. A time slots may be quoted by our courier(s), but delivery within this period is not guaranteed by Home In.

The courier has damaged the packages you sent, what should I do?

In the unlikely event that a part of your furniture has become damaged on its way out to you, please take photos of the packaging, and any damages, then Contact Us providing the photos and we will a get replacement part out to you asap. 

Please remember to first check all the other parts for any additional damage and to make sure that nothing else is missing. Then let us know the part number(s), or if a part is not numbered a clear description of any part(s) effected, and we will have them replaced for you. You can usually find the part number listed in the front of the assembly guides, where provided, or on the packaging for smaller parts.

Is delivery available and how much will it cost?

For most of our products, delivery to the majority of mainland UK addresses is available and free. To check if the product you are interested in can be shipped to your address, and if any shipping fee will apply, please enter your postcode in the postcode checker box found within the box titled "Free* Home Delivery" on the pages showing full product details. Simply click on the "Learn More" link and then the button saying "check delivery cost".

Unfortunately, not all products are available for shipping to offshore and remote locations, should you select a product with delivery restriction you will be notified during the checkout process. Please follow the guidance at this stage to find available alternatives or continue to checkout with the items that are available to your location.

 

Can I have my order delivered over the weekend?

We do not currently offer the ability to book weekend deliveries, we will update this in the future should this service become available.

I live in the Channel Island, Isle of Man, Scottish Island or Northern Ireland, will you deliver to my address?

Usually yes, however, not all our products are available for shipping to offshore and remote locations and some addtional shipping fees may apply. Any additional shipping fees will be added clearly during checkout. To check if the product you are interested in can be shipped to your address, and if any fees would apply, please use our postcode checker box. This can be found within the box titled "Free* Home Delivery" on the product detail page. Simply click on the "Learn More" link and then the button saying "check delivery cost", then enter your delivery postcode.

Can I request delivery on a specific date?

For much of our furniture yes. If scheduling a delivery is an option for the item you are interested in, you will be given the option to select a date for that item during checkout.

Can I track the delivery of my order on-line?

For most of our products yes. Tracking details, where avaiable, are sent to the mobile number and / or email address you entered when your order was placed.This will allow you to track the progress of your delivery on-line via our courier's website.

In some cases tracking numbers will not be provided directly by our courier partners and you will be able to track your furniture using their links and apps.

ASSEMBLY

Can my corner desk be assembled with the longer desktop on either side?

Some of our corner desks allow for the longer length of the desktop to be assembled on either the right or left hand side. If this can be done, it will clearly say so in the listing with the words “Reversible” in the product title.

Is this furniture flat packed?

We sell a wide range of furniture at Home In. Many items are delivered flat packed for self-assembly, although some will arrive pre-assembled. In all cases, where the furniture requires self-assembly, this will be clearly mentioned on the product page describing the item. If you are in any doubt please contact us prior to placing an order and we will be happy to help.

How do I know how big my piece of furniture will be when assembled?

Many products have images showing dimensions diagrams of the completed item, alternatively sizes will also be contained in the Specification tab of the product as well as, often, within the product details descriptions to the side of the product images.

Dimensions displayed are metric CM and MM, so if you wish to convert these into feet and inches, please us an on-line unit converter.

Do you provide an assembly service?

No. Apologies, we do not provide an assembly service. You will need to assemble any flat packed furniture using the assembly guides provided, in many cases essential tools required are also included. Any item requiring self-assembly will state this clearly on the page describing the product.

Do you provide customised furniture?
No. All our furniture is sold exactly as described in the listings. We do not provide any custom made furniture.
Will Home In Online cover any labour costs associated with assembly of flat packed furniture?

Our flat packed furniture requires self assembly. Home In Online takes no responsibility for any labour costs incurred during the assembly of furniture purchased from us. Our self assembly products are delivered with easy to follow assembly instructions, however should there be an issue with any instructions or parts received, please contact us right away. It is important to take care when assembling your furniture so as not to damage any parts during construction.

Can I download a copy of the assembly guide?

Most assembly guides are available to download by going to the "Specifications" tab on the product page for the item you are interested in. You can download a PDF copy of the assembly guide by clicking on the link "Assembly Guide".

ORDERING

Can I pay for my order over the phone?

All payments need to be made via one of our many payment option avaiable during our secure online checkout process. Should you experiance any difficulties with making your payment online please contact us and we will be happy to help.

 

 

 

Will my furniture come with the plants, books, computers and other accessories shown in the photos?

No. All furniture dressing is only to provide scale and set the scene to help you picture the furniture within your home.

Can I make a VAT free purchase if I order from a tax free zone such as the Channel Islands?

We are not able to offer VAT deducted prices for any orders placed with us. However we are able to provide, on request, a full VAT invoice for your records should you require this to make any claim for tax reimbursements.

Will I get an invoice?

There are no paper invoices included in the delivered packaging. Invoices are emailed with confirmation of dispatch. Please Contact Us us to request a copy of your VAT invoice.

Do you sell parts separately?

No. Sorry, all our furniture is delivered pre-packed and is sold complete as shown in the listings. We do not sell separate parts for any of our products.

What payment options do you provide?

Orders can be paid using all major debit and credit cards, Amazon Pay or PayPal.

Please note, we do not take payments over the phone. All orders should be placed and paid for online.

CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

Can I return my order?

Yes. You are welcome to return any unused items to us within 30 days of purchase. Any furniture you wish to return needs to be sealed in its original packaging.

Please Contact Us to request a return and we will advise you of the appropriate returns address and in most cases even assist with shipping arrangements.

A refund will be issued as soon as the goods have been safely received and checked.
